INSURANCE REPLACEMENT VALUATIONS

Because we are trained specifically to calculate costs on construction projects, we help homeowners protect their homes from under insurance by calculating sum insured values.

 

This involves visiting your home and calculating the fees, materials, landscaping and taxes that would be needed to replace everything if disaster struck. So you can feel secure that you are adequately insured.

Mathew and Debbie have been working on residential projects in Christchurch for over 30 years, their combination of tested methods and experience ensure accuracy, consistency and transparency.

 

 

 

 

MATTHEW SANDREY        [ MNZIQS ]

 

 

I started my Quantity Surveyor career in Dunedin in 1971, working predominantly on small to medium-sized construction projects throughout the lower South Island.

 

In 1978 I moved to Adelaide where I worked on many large building projects through out South Australia. I relocated to North Queensland in 1981, working throughout Queensland, the Whitsunday Islands and Papua New Guinea. This work included contract dispute resolution on rebuilding work in the Whitsunday Islands, new school developments, major new supermarket developments, the new Cairns domestic and international airport re-building work, and a new hospital complex in Port Moresby.

 

In 1991 I returned to Christchurch to manage the South City shopping complex Subsequently, I have worked estimating, tendering and project managing architectural housing in Christchurch and throughout the South Island.

 

I now predominantly specialise in the following work:

 

 

• Preparing detailed preliminary cost estimates from architectural concept sketch designs;

• Preparing fully detailed cost estimates of labour and materials;

• Providing house rebuild valuations for insurance purposes;

• Providing support and advice on all earthquake insurance matters.

DEBBIE MUNDY        [ DIPLOMA OF QUANTITY SURVEYING ]

 

 

I started my career as a Quantity Surveyor in 2004 in conjunction with part time study in the Quantity Surveying Diploma at C.P.I.T.

 

During the last ten years I have worked as a Quantity Surveyor for a residential housing company where I completed contract documents and all costing (both preliminary or fixed), worked with the client to complete their home on time and to budget. I also liaised with clients regarding finalising contracts, including negotiating variations.

 

I have also worked as a Q.S. for both plumbing and glazing companies, completing all aspects of estimates, tendering and contract work. Prior

to my current role I worked as a Project Manager for City Care, where I liaised with both tenants and trades people to manage the redecoration of housing units in Christchurch.

I have been working for Estimate Services Ltd for the last three and a half years and specialise in the following:

 

 

• Insurance valuations

• Estimates for repair or rebuild for builders engaged by insurance companies

• Estimates for rebuild or repairs for architects and designers

• Assisting private clients with rebuild or repair strategies in relation to their insurance on their homes

• Project management
